What if only 26 pages stood between you and success?
What if there were only 26 pages between you and manifesting your dreams?
What if there were only 26 pages between you and being able to do everything you thought of and things you couldn’t even have imagined as a speaker, coach and entrepreneur?
What if it wasn’t the 26 pages at all? What if the problem was you?
If you’re interested in achieving your (SWAG) Satisfy your Wildly Audacious Goals in 2017, (especially if you think this post is too long,) you don’t want to skip this story…
The Story
She came into my tribe because I spoke at a live event and gifted everyone my free training, “How to Create an Effective Revenue Generating Vision Board.” Plus, she came up to me afterwards and said she loved my talk and wanted my card.
As we discussed her ideas and desires I could feel her enthusiasm and eagerness bubbling over. Previously in email as part of my pre-discovery call questionnaire, I’d asked her if she was a self starter, and she’d answered, “Yes!” Her curiosity about what kind of programs and business coaching I offered was inspiring and encouraging.
Then, she asked me about the vision board guide. She wanted to know if the vision board would actually help her with creating her business? At first I thought perhaps she was unfamiliar with creating an effective vision board and how powerful it is to support the manifestation of your dreams. So I told her that it would be an excellent tool to support her. It would help her get her vision out of her head and develop the thought process she needed to make her dream a reality.
And then she said it. “But it’s 26 pages long.” as she chuckled nervously her subtext came through, meaning that it was way too many pages to look through.
Too long?
Too many pages?
26 pages of goodness?
Information. Knowledge that hundreds of other entrepreneurs have used and benefited from…shared their stories of manifestation with me. But she’d already decided that it was too much to go through.
She was going to allow 26 pages to stand between her and creating something powerful and new.
Then she asked “What about the business plan. Do I have to create that too?” Of course you do, I said.
I tried to remain upbeat, but in all honesty, she got to me.
In the midst of her enthusiasm, eagerness and curiosity she was quickly doing what many entrepreneurs do, talk themselves out of doing the only thing that really matters…
THE WORK!
26 pages.
26.
What if only 26 pages lie between you and manifesting your dreams?
What would you do?
What have you done in the past?
What will you do differently?
Would you get intentional?
Would you schedule some time, even a little time each day so you could open the training and not be distracted; would you commit to doing for yourself what no one else can do… make YOU a priority? Do the work, reap the reward, birth the dream and share it with the world?
I didn’t try to convince her that 26 pages weren’t too many. I didn’t try to sell her on doing her business plan, but I did remind her that life is short and death is sure and if she was really serious about using the extraordinary gifts that God has given her, she might want to get non-negotiable about it and take advantage of every door that God swings wide open to help her achieve her goals and manifest her dreams.
So, if you take anything from this story, I suggest that you figure out what your “26 Pages” are and decide that you’re not going to be held down, held back or pushed out, because your dream is a gift from the divine. Make it your business to get that baby born into this world by any means necessary.
We all have our “26 Pages” moment, right?
